Quantity: The type of course dictates how much work will be submitted to the teacher.
- In writing courses (e.g. religion, history, literature, and some science courses) the student submits all writing assignments. This includes papers, essays, quizzes, and tests.
- In non-writing courses (e.g. math, Latin, grammar, and some science courses) the student submits all tests and a selection of daily lessons, exercises, or questions.
Method: Student work is submitted throughout the school year through the Family Site. Students (and parents) are provided with a list of the assignments to be submitted for each subject. Some assignments are completed by the student directly on the Family Site through online quiz pages. Other assignments are completed by hand or in a word processor, and then uploaded for teacher review.
Uploading Papers: Students are strongly encouraged to submit work as soon as it is completed. Regular submission of work will facilitate more productive meetings between the student and teacher. Students (and parents) receive an email with direct links to the assignment each time the teacher has reviewed and uploaded student work. Parents can also monitor student and teacher uploads through the "student work" page.
Online Quizzes: Students can complete online quizzes through the Family Site. Some quizzes will provide immediate feedback to the student; other quizzes require manual review by the teacher, along with more personalized feedback.
