Upon enrollment, the family needs to inform the consultant of their goals for their child. The consultant will help them, as much as possible, to achieve those goals. High school students in the Special Services program can receive a transcript for any courses which they have completed according to the school’s standards. These courses may be grade level, grade level with modifications, or a modified curriculum, and will be noted on the student’s transcript as such.
Graduation: A student enrolled in our Special Services program can graduate from high school, as long as he completes the standard requirements for graduation. These requirements can be modified to meet the student's needs, and the student’s transcript will reflect modifications.
Other Options: Students who are unable to complete the high school requirements can take the California Proficiency Exam (https://www.chspe.net). MODG also has a Certificate of Completion that is awarded to students who complete 16 credits. The consultant will help the family determine which is the best option for the student.
