In LS, most classes include teacher grading. In some cases, students may take auto-graded quizzes and tests, which should be tracked by the parents. Please see the enrollment booklet scroll for details on each course.
When class grading is provided by a teacher, grades are given based upon papers, tests, quizzes, and class participation. The teacher will notify parents of student grade status 2-4 times a year, but parents are always welcome to ask more often for updates. The students' work will be graded either by the LS teacher himself or a grader who works in conjunction with the teacher and grades for the entire class section.
While paper grading is covered in the cost of the course, parents may choose to have their student not use the grading portion of the course, and merely audit the course by attending the class discussions. There will be no difference in price for audited classes, except for religion courses. Religion courses and grade school Discussion Book Clubs are offered either as a discussion-only class, or as a class with grading, and there is a corresponding price difference for those courses.
